A date for your diaries! The Friends of Mitcham Common Annual Review, Monday September 12, from 7-30pm
We will hold our Annual Review on Monday September 12 at the Mitcham Common Ecology Centre. It will start at 7-30pm. We have three parts to the meeting this year. The review will start with a talk by Frank Paine on the history, operation and features of the Shirley Windmill in Croydon. One of only four windmills open to the public in Greater London, it is a rare local example of industrial archaeology and has some parallels with the former windmill on Mitcham Common. We will then follow with the AGM which will include a round up of the year by acting chair Darren, and the Secretary and Treasurers reports. We will end with refreshments and a chance to chat to fellow Friends.
The meeting is open to all, but it would be great if you could let us know you will be attending by responding to this email. This will help us with numbers when we are ordering refreshments.
A full agenda for the meeting will follow in due course.
